World Food Safety Day i.e. World Food Safety Day is celebrated every year on 7 June. Although for some years it was celebrated on 16 October, now it is celebrated on 7 June. It was launched by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 2018.
The purpose of celebrating this day is to make people aware of contaminated food. According to the World Health Organization, 4 lakh 20 thousand people die every year just because of eating contaminated food. Along with this, children also die from food contaminated or loaded with bacteria. According to the report, about 1 lakh 25 thousand children die every year.

The Food Safety Index was released by FSSAI (The Food Safety and Standard Authority of India). In which Gujarat had won among the big states. In the same Union Territories, Chandigarh topped and among the smallest states, Goa won.
Gujarat was followed by Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra among the major states. Chandigarh was followed by Delhi and Andaman and Nicobar. Goa was followed by Manipur and Meghalaya.
