1. Shravan Putrada Ekadashi – This Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Shravan month is also called Pavitra Ekadashi. Its name is also mentioned in the scriptures as Putrada Ekadashi. By reading this fast story and listening to its greatness, a person becomes free from all sins and after enjoying children in this world, one gets to heaven in the hereafter.
2. Ekadashi date is dear to Lord Vishnu. Keeping the fast of Putrada Ekadashi on this day brings blessings of Lord Vishnu. And there are chances of getting a suitable child.
3. If possible or if you have Gangajal, then bathing should be done by adding Gangajal to the water.
4. If possible, keep fast on the holy day of Putrada Ekadashi. According to the belief, worshiping Shri Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi on this day brings all the happiness in life.
5. On the night of Ekadashi, one must do Bhajan-Kirtan of Lord Shri Vishnu. With the attainment of children, all the wishes are fulfilled by this fast.
6. Do not use abusive words towards anyone on this day, do not get angry, do not think bad or do bad to anyone. And have a feeling of respect and hospitality towards all.

7. Eat sattvik food on this day, and do not consume meat and alcohol. On Ekadashi, observe Brahmacharya fast.
8. According to your capacity, on Ekadashi, offer these ingredients – like fruits, flowers, coconut, betel, betel nut, clove, plum, gooseberry etc.
9. While offering Bhog, keep in mind that only sattvik things are offered to God and Tulsi must be included while offering prasad to Shri Vishnu. It is said that without Tulsi, Lord Vishnu does not accept Bhog or Prasad.
10. Staying fast for the whole day, eat fruit only after listening to the story in the evening. If you have any special wish, then request God to fulfill it.
11. On the day of Putrada Ekadashi, first offer food to the Lord, then only after giving donations and dakshina to Brahmins, take food.
