Moan of Kauravas
The death of Duryodhana was mourned in the court of Hastinapur. Queen Bhanumathi, Gandhari, Dhritarashtra and Vidur also wept bitterly. The queens ran madly towards Kurukshetra and Gandhari and Dhritarashtra also walked towards Kurukshetra.
Powdering Bhima’s iron idol
After coming to Kurukshetra, Shri Krishna explained to Dhritarashtra and the Pandavas also came to meet him. Dhritarashtra said that he wants to embrace Bhima who single-handedly killed my sons. Krishna understood that Dhritarashtra’s heart is fragile. He already put Bhima’s iron statue in front. Dhritarashtra planted the idol with his heart and pressed it so hard that it became powdered. Dhritarashtra started crying considering Bhima dead, but Krishna said that he was not Bhima, he was an idol of Bhima. Dhritarashtra was ashamed.
Gandhari curses Krishna
Krishna reached Gandhari with the Pandavas. She was weeping with the body of Duryodhana. Gandhari cursed Krishna that your family will be destroyed the same way you have destroyed our dynasty. On the orders of Dhritarashtra, all the dead of Kaurava and Pandava dynasty were cremated. Under the festival of women, there are 3 Upanarvas, and there are 27 chapters. These 3 sub-days are as follows- Waterflood festival, Lament festival, Shraddha festival.
